These three islands are at the farthest of Trang Sea under responsibility of Mo Koh Petra National Park, Satun Province but are included in Trang's visiting places due to more convenient transport from Trang. Koh Lao Liang and Koh Petra are the islands of bird's nest concession. So to visit both islands, you have to be well informed about the opening time.
Koh Lao Liang comprises two twin islands which are Koh Loa Liang Nua and Koh Lao Liang Tai of limestone mountains encircled by high cliffs. The outstanding attractions are at Koh Lao Liang Tai having the 200 m long beach with some broken coral reef sattering around the area. Behind the island is a cave which is the home of large group of swallows. The sea around Koh Lao Liang has the most wonderful and abundant coral reef of Trang sea.
Koh Ta kiang: A small island with a lighthouse on the high mountain at the heart of the island and a small sandy beach located behind. Shallow water coral reef as well as colorful fish is found around the island.
Koh Petra: the island located at the farthest south of Trang Sea and the largest of all these three islands. To visit Koh Petra is more strict than other two islands. Koh Petra has white beach and beautiful colored sea including the skin diving area in front of the beach.
No accommodation provided because the islands are of bird's nest oncession. Tourists usually come here by on day package tour offering food and diving facilities.
West of Laem Ta Se, Pa Lian District, about 20 km from shore. Koh Ta Kiang is about one km west of Koh Lao Liang
By package tour or rented boats from Ta Se Pier at Suksamran District.
